SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating and promoting physician recruitment and physician services activities, events, and processes. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process.
ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or healthcare (or equivalent education and experience). Five years experience coordinating large projects in a corporate environment preferably in an organization of size and complexity comparable to Spectrum Health. Demonstrated track record for high performance.
Knowledge of healthcare trends, operations, and education. Positive and highly effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to work effectively with various levels of management personnel, physicians, and business personnel. Ability to manage multiple priority projects simultaneously.
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills. Self directed. Independently mobile. Ability to make quality, independent decisions. Analytical and strong problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal office environment. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct and coordinate the monthly steering committee meetings related to the recruitment of newly hired physicians.
Coordinate monthly recruitment team meetings, search committees and other meetings as needed including site selection, putting materials together, communication, and planning.
Coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex/multi-faceted projects/programs. Independently adjusts scope of work plan in order to achieve desired outcomes.
In coordination with physician development department, creates, manages, implements, and maintains the project plan for conferences and symposiums related to physician recruitment and physician development.
Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations. Initiates independent problem-solving and follow-up with the Director, as needed.
Assists in preparation and administration of department, site or program budget. Compiles and retrieves a variety of statistical, budgetary and related data from on-line systems, schedules and performs downloads of information, and creates and/or prepares a variety of complex reports. Prepares budget requests, records/monitors expenditures, reconciles discrepancies, and maintains a variety of account records.
Designs and/or formats new forms, bulletins, and manuals; explains practices, policies and procedures, and, serves as a resource to staff on the use of the new materials, policies, and procedures. Creates spreadsheets, manipulates data, publishes reports/dashboards, as required for all performance metrics.
Ensures that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency. Engages in process and quality improvement activities. Makes and implements recommendations to improve operational efficiency and to implement new services for areas of responsibility.
Ensures that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.
Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization. Provides information to senior levels of management on the implication of policies and procedures being formulated and recommends specific action.
Engages in continuous study of the entire professional field, including best practices, to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensures that patients, their families, visitors, customers, and employees are treated with kindness and respect. Demonstrates teamwork and integrity in all work-related activities. Ensures that work-performed supports Spectrum Health's mission of Superior Quality Personal Care.
